Professional development policy
Investing in employee skills is probably the most important investment a school can make and should be carefully considered, funded well and managed well.
To ensure that the best interests of the school and each employee are fairly met within budget, a policy-driven approach is needed.

Professional development committee
The professional development committee is a representational committee, which meets about four times each year. It looks for common needs arising from appraisal, and considers funding requests from individuals and teams.
It is best to have a standard form for submitting requests and the following link leads to an example.
